Elaine T. I've always had a good experience at our Banff depot in the last 2 years but was especially impressed this last visit. I was with a friend who had never brought bottles to the depot, and she had noticed one of the beer bottles was broken. I felt conflicted and unsure if this was a problem but also wondered aloud why only in recent times had there been any breakage of beer bottles. The young man very politely explained that Alberta had always used refillable bottles and this was a very commendable practice. He also went on to explain that some companies (eg. Kirkland Signature) were using recyclable, not refillable, bottles which were thinner and weaker glass and were broken down, not refilled. Very educational and will effect my buying practices. Staff in this depot seem to enjoy what they are doing and take pride in their workplace. Very commendable
Audrey F. I've been to the bottle depot a few times in the past and I've never experienced such a friendly face as last Saturday. This young man from Venezuela went out of his way to explain which bottles are reused, why and why not; showed us some stats in a newsletter on the wall about how many bottles are saved from landfills and recycled and reused. It was the most informative experience I've ever had. He was cheerful and seemed truly happy in his job with a constant smile on his face and was the most pleasant bottle depot employee I've ever come across. What true customer service should be like.
